“ Been here several times over the past 4 years, and have enjoyed myself each and every time. The servers and bartenders are always very polite and respectful, tables are always clean, and the food is always delightful. The restaurants' ambiance is always very pleasant, full of families and couples having a great time. The food is always great, and is served on time. However, my only critique about Gogi is that almost every time I've been they've either been "out of stock" or not serving the drinks from the mocktail menu. ”
“ Got takeaway late at night. Pretty quick delivery. Food was warm. The hot pot bulgogi was delicious - broth was similar to galbitang. The bibimbap was also very solid. Loved the quail eggs in the tteokbokki. Valid Korean food all around. ”
“ Good Korean BBQ with good food, nice ambient, and friendly service although a bit lost sometimes. I shared some Dduk Bok Gi (rice cake) as appetizer and then the BBQ Premium Platter and some further spicy chicken BBQ. Everything was good and service was friendly although sometimes a bit unclear of what was still missing. ”
“ We really enjoy this little local gem, whether dining in or taking out, their dishes are spot on. We recently had friends visiting from the States and they had never tried Korean food before, and they all (all 5 of of them) absolutely loved it. My personal favorite is their Bibimbap--perfectly prepared with a nice crunch on the rice as you reach the bottom of all that goodness while finishing your bowl, and served with a lovely Sriracha-like sauce on the side. Gogi also serves delicious and beautifully presented cocktails. I dine here regularly for both lunch and dinner, and the staff is very accommodating for last minute reservations (they were a life saver when we had a party of 8 visiting). Also, be sure to try their dumplings...yum! ”
“ I really enjoyed the meal here. My partner took me here for my birthday, as I really wanted Korean, and he'd heard good things about this place. We started with the tofu appetiser - fried tofu with a light soy sauce - which was good, not great. I didn't love the texture of the tofu in this dish. We then had three dishes for the main: two BBQ dishes - beef (bulgogi) and chicken (soy) - and a vegetable dumpling soup. I ended up eating almost all the soup because my partner doesn't eat mushrooms and the bowl was overwhelmingly filled with mushrooms. There was just no way to eat around them. The broth was good, and the dumplings weren't bad. It was just not what I really wanted, I guess. The BBQ dishes were both really good, though I preferred the chicken (partner preferred the beef). They take care of cooking it for you, and are attentive and unobtrusive about it. For dessert, I really wanted to try to cheesecake but they were out, so I tried the traditional Korean dessert which reminded me of mochi filled with chocolate. I would have liked it, but there was too much chocolate and it was too rich - all I got, flavorwise, was thick chocolate with a hint of chewiness from the moch-like texture around it. That said, I thought everything was good - just not necessarily to my taste that night - so I'll definitely plan to return. ”
